Taba Peterside

CEO/Principal Promoter

Taba Peterside is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Waveline. Taba is an accomplished financial services professional with over 35 years’ varied experience across five countries, with a consistent record of delivery, integrity and excellence. Before founding Waveline, Mrs Peterside was an executive at The Nigerian Exchange Limited, heading various functions including new listings and listed company relationships. Under her leadership, The Exchange listed its first dual equity listing, with the London Stock Exchange. At Stanbic IBTC, Taba led a dynamic team that structured many landmark transactions and made the bank the market leader in investment banking. She has also worked for other leading institutions such as the Conference Board of Canada, Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation, International Finance Corporation and Africa Finance Corporation.

Mrs Peterside brings her wealth of experience to several private sector and NGO boards. She serves as an Independent Non- Executive Director on the boards of Ecobank Nigeria and CWG Plc, a listed technology service provider, among others.

A regular speaker on business, leadership and women’s issues, Taba is a graduate of Development Studies (Economics) from the University of Kent, UK and has a Masters in Development Economics from Dalhousie University, Canada. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Directors Nigeria and a Certified Microfinance Professional of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria. She is also a Life Member of Women in Management, Business and Public Service (Wimbiz), and has previously served on its Executive Council, and is a Trustee and Vice Chairman of the Nigerian National Committee of the United World Colleges, a global education movement

Taba speaks French, is a sports enthusiast and also enjoys reading, singing and travel. An active mentor, she is passionate about impacting younger generations in business and leadership.

Mulikat Akande-Adeola

Director

Right Honourable Mulikat Akande-Adeola was called to the Bar in 1983 and has over three decades of experience in the legal profession. She has a Bachelor of Laws from Ahmadu Bello University and an LLM from the University of Lagos. In the course of her legal career, spanning 1984 to 2007, she held several appointments as a Company Secretary, Legal Adviser, and head of Administration for different corporations. She was also the Managing Partner for M.L. Akande and Co between 1997 and 2007.

Right Honorable Akande-Adeola is also a successful politician whose achievements have blazed the trail for women in politics. Her foray into politics began in 1998 on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). She served as a two-term member of the House of Representatives representing Ogbomosho North, South and Orire Federal Constituency in 2007-2011 and 2011 - 2015. She also served as a member of the ECOWAS Parliament from 2007 to 2011. In 2011 she became the first woman to hold the position of Majority Leader in Nigerian Federal legislative history. She contested for Senate in 2019 and in 2023. A passionate and committed parliamentarian, Hon Akande Adeola chaired two house committees in the course of her parliamentary career, in addition to serving on several others.

Hon Akande Adeola is passionate about philanthropy, female empowerment and serving her community. Through her Jokodolu Foundation, she has provided scholarships to over 200 students up to tertiary level. The foundation has also empowered widows and youths through skills training and other initiatives.

Ujama Kalango Akpata

Director

Ujama Akpata is a CNN-featured female-entrepreneur on a mission to make shipping seamless for B2B merchants across Africa. With her diverse background in Chemical Engineering, she has made a lasting impact on both the logistics and technology sectors. Her journey from the field of engineering to the realm of logistics stands as a remarkable example of her innovative spirit and adaptability. After completing her Master's in Advanced Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London and earning a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Nottingham, Ujama made her foray into the dynamic field of logistics. She also holds certification in Logistics and Supply Chain Management and has amassed nearly 15 years of hands-on experience in both the Oil and Gas industry and Logistics. One of her remarkable strengths lies in her seamless ability to navigate the diverse landscapes of startups and large multinational corporations, setting the stage for her entrepreneurial achievements. Ujama's tech-savvy side shines through as she is a self-taught WordPress developer and an enthusiastic advocate for chatbot technology. In 2013, she co-founded Jand2Gidi, a logistics firm that not only redefined international shipping for B2C customers but also successfully delivered more than half a million packages across Africa over the past decade. In a recent strategic shift, Jand2Gidi underwent a transformation, rebranding as Cargoplug, with a renewed focus on providing cross-border logistics solutions for businesses through the utilization of cutting-edge shipping APIs. Beyond her professional pursuits, Ujama is a loving wife and a proud mother of two wonderful children. Her remarkable journey stands as a shining example of how knowledge, innovation, and unwavering dedication can simplify intricate processes and foster global trade

Mrs Adwoa Nyantakyiwa Annan

Non Executive Director

Mrs. Adwoa Annan is the co-founder of Geothermal Management Services Ltd, a green technology company. She is also a non-executive director of Fidelity Bank Ghana,Waveline Growth Partners Limited, a finance company in Nigeria and a consulting Advisor at Alfie Designs, a garment manufacturing company and J&J Plastics Ltd

Prior to that, Mrs. Annan had a successful 30 year career in the financial services sector having worked in both the main stream banking and microfinance sectors. She has extensive experience in banking operations, customer service, sales management and strategic management

She started her career with Barclays as a management trainee where she worked for 23 years, holding various senior management roles in operations, internal audit, branch management and business development.

Following a passion to empower women, she joined Women’s World Banking in 2007 as the Chief Operations Officer overseeing all aspects of business strategy growth with specific concentration on the banking operations, credits, IT, Human Resources and Administration units. In 2011, she became the CEO and voluntarily retired after 4 years of implementing a successful turnaround program.

She holds an International Baccalaureate diploma from United World College of the Atlantic (U.K), a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Kent at Canterbury (UK) and a professional graduate diploma in management (International Professional Managers Association). She is also a graduate member of the Chartered Institute of Administration and Management Consultancy

Adwoa is a member of the United World Colleges ( Ghana National committee).

Ifeoma Ifeyinwa Idigbe

Director

Ifeoma I. Idigbe is a finance and business analyst/consultant with broad and extensive professional experience. Her educational background includes a first degree in the Pure Sciences, with a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) and a Masters in Human Resource Management (MA HRM). She has also attended various local and international courses.

Her professional career started in banking, in corporate finance and then development finance (now called SME financing) at International Merchant Bank. Her career has spanned banking/finance and advisory services, entrepreneurial activities in business advisory/consulting services and capacity building, providing services to local and international organisations.

She has also worked in the Nigerian public sector, having been appointed an Executive Director (Finance & Administration) and becoming the Acting Managing Director before the end of her 4-year tenure, at Benin - Owena River Basin Development Authority, a parastatal of the Federal Ministry of Water Resources.

She was a delegate to the 2014 National Conference in Abuja convened by former President Goodluck Jonathan to strategize on the Way Forward for Nigeria and served as the Vice-Chairman on the Committee for Agriculture and Water Resources.

Ifeoma has a keen interest in people development, and organisational culture and behaviour, which she believes drive the attainment of excellence in organisations. She remains an independent financial and business analyst/Consultant, and also a social entrepreneur, the Founder & Executive Vice Chairman of boys to MEN Foundation, a Nigerian non-governmental organisation (NGO) established in November 2017, dedicated to developing boys and men into responsible, ethical, gentlemen with integrity through a range of programmes, initiatives and activities.

She is and has been on the Board of several NGOs as a co – founder of Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ) serving as the first Chairman of the Board of Trustees. She is also a founding Trustee of the Ovie Brume Foundation. Ifeoma is the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Green Hub Africa, an environment focused organisation.

Ifeoma Idigbe also sits on the Boards of companies across industries which include SystemSpecs Group (a leading software development organisation in Nigeria), and is the Chairman of Remita Payment Systems Limited. She is on the Board of Sun Trust Bank Nigeria Limited, and DOII Designs Limited, a furniture manufacturing and Interior Design company. She is the Chairman of Waveline Growth Partners, a micro lender focused on supporting small businesses to promote financial inclusion.

Mrs. Idigbe has taught Critical Thinking and Public Speaking to graduate scholars at the Nigerian University of Technology and Management (NUTM) in Lagos since its inception with the 2020/21 cohort.

Ifeoma is a published author of three books, Sounds from Silence: Musings, and About Men: Random Poems, Monologues and Reflections and Melodies of My Mind, a collection of poems. Ifeoma also contributed monthly articles to Genevieve and TW women’s magazines for over ten years and was a co-host on TW Conversations, a television talk show on DSTV. She has hosted several podcasts.

Ifeoma I. Idigbe has varied interests that include reading and writing, travel, the collection of paintings and objets d’art, interior and garden design, and has played and continues to play various leadership roles in her church

Ifeoma is married to O. Jude Idigbe.
